27th. Annual Flying M Ranch Fly-In and Campout,
and
19th Annual Cub Migration
Oct. 21-23, 2011
We deeply regret that we must cancel the 2011 Reklaw Flying M Ranch Fly-In and Campout due to the complete lack of rain, and none in the forecast,
1000 campers, 500 airplanes and 50 motorhomes on the airport property is just to much to risk. The local volunteer fire department is exhausted with putting current out fires to risk having one during the flyin.
There is no way to expect that we can make up 20 inches of rain between now and Oct. 21, so for the first time in 27 years, we sadly must cancel the fly-in this year.
Remember to cancel any Hotel, Golfcart or other reservations you may have made for 2011. While you are on the phone, make your reservations for 2012! We will deeply miss all of you, and hope to see you next year…. If it rains.
PRAY FOR RAIN IN TEXAS.
And pass the word around for us…. We will be putting an X on the airstrip that weekend.
The website will be updated shortly with the announcement.

There are several ranches by this name (as your web browser will show), but none quite like this. We don’t raise cattle anymore, we just have a good time once a year with our annual weekend Fly-In and Campout. If you are a pilot, fly in to our unique 4000 ft. grass runway, park the plane, pitch your tent, kick back, kick tires, whatever, and just enjoy the show rain or shine. We have food, we have minimal but adequate camping facilities, we have a very relaxing atmosphere. Meet up with old friends, and make some new ones. If you have a J3, all the better. There are always a mess of them that show up. Hang up your goggles? Bring the RV, motorhome, or stay in one of the local hotels!
2008 had over 542 aircraft and around 2000 guests. It was perfect weather and like 2007, the best flyin in the state of Texas, ever!

Smooooth Running:
Like the last 2years, Barry Boyette will be on hand to perform prop balances on site if you need one. Look for him! $250 fly-in special will get a fixed pitch or constant speed prop done on site! He’ll be there from Thurs. afternoon on thru the weekend.
